For some odd reason I cant access Metalbump 9 for 3d max even though I have direct x 9 on? Any answers for this travesty?

Why would you
ever want
to use Metal Bump shader? That thing is horrible, and outdated... you should be just using basic DirectX shader materials, and load an .fx file (eg. StandardFX.fx).
