I'm getting this error trying to bake in maya mental gay anyone know what this is?

Is your scene clean? Open the hypershade, turn on underworld and hidden nodes and make sure everything looks okay. You can also try exporting stuff out, starting a new scene., and re-importing.

I always hated debugging those mental ray errors in maya.

Looks like that error is not causing the crash now we're looking into other gayness.

yeah sounds like dead nodes in your maya scene, try importing your current scene into a clean one as well that sometimes helps
