Had a job interview today....

I have to wait a week before finding out whether I have the job or not...

*crosses fingers*

Hopefully I've done enough to at least be able to get in, just a case of having to brush up my 2d skills and learn Maya double quick heh

To me it's 50/50 whether I got the job but there's a nagging doubt in the back of my mind :poly125:

    Good luck to the unemployed bum! Hopefully the Maya learning goes smooth for ya. I still have some trouble with it but I'm not cussing it out every time I use it. There are some things I even like better then max. But there's a bunch of stuff I miss. Make sure to check out Nex, its great, even if you have to pay for it =/

    no, but I have a list anyway:) perhaps I shoul d't pass it aorund as it was given to me by someone in a recruitment agency and I was a bit surprised that he gave me it TBH.

    Good luck anyway dude, a mate of mine just got in at climax as a junior environment guy! I'm currently jenning up on my 2d too before I start applying again as I just got denied somewhere, i blame my weak portfolio! D:

    Cheers guys :)

    Aye it is Climax, 2 probs that I can see for me getting the job is the lack of 2d work to show (I was only asked in for an interview at 11am Friday and to get there for 3:30pm- plus to be honest I have neglected my 2d concepting skills over the last couple of years :( The other is how quickly I can pick up Maya. Touch wood I can remedy both things but I may have to prove this in double quick time so that's what I'll be doing :) had a doodle in the wee hours of friday morning, was rustier than the titanic but starting to feel the love again hehe

    Well, like I said, got another week before I find out, going to use this time to good use :)

    Ruz: If you could send it through to me, that would be muchly appreciated :D

    Target Renegade: yup :) nice and local :D only a tad further away that what R* Leeds was from where I was living nr Leeds :)

    Jackwhat: yeah they do want people with strong conceptual skills, thus my apprehension but it's good to hear your mate got in :D GL with your own entry in to the industry, I'm sure you'll be ok fella :D

    Yeah, I almost got a job at Climax, but my work permit got failed because of UK government, maybe they thought I would dirt portsmouth, who knows. But anyway, I´m happy for you Chunkey! Climax is awesome, I hope you get the job man!

    Jason Lavoie: Well, I don't know if I did well with my interview, I just tried to ask questions about projects being worked on, and to show interest in what was being presented to me and basically tried to be confident but not being in a bullshitter at the same time. The way in which the hiring process has been explained to me in the past is that the interview is mostly to find out if you're a dickhead or not, so as long as you can be yourself then all's cool :D

    Cheers Bugo, nah, immigration at the moment is a weird thing at the moment, I know there's new legislation now for hiring non EU employees, that might have been an issue- it was a shame though fella :( I think Pompey needs some Brazillian flair to be honest hehe- it seems to be full of students puking up everywhere or chavs spitting on your car for no reason (long story) heh
