Had some energy drinks yesterday, stayed up 'till 5 AM then decided to go to sleep. Woke up at 9.30 and I now feel like I COULD TAKE ON THE WORLD ROAR.
feeling good at the moment I just booked a 2 week trip in Bangkok, Hanoi, Singapore and Hong Kong for September.
Then 2weeks in Shanghai in October.
All for work so they get to pay for everything. Ive managed to wheedle in a few days extra free days here and there .. thats the bit that makes me happy

I landed a new permanent gig at Cat Daddy Games in Bellevue, WA, digging it a lot. End of the month is my 25th birthday and I'm treatin myself to a few goodies!

. 12WX as a sidekick ... I really wanted to love it, but it's not up to the hype. I just use it for sightsize rendering = painting studies as far from the reference as possible. And to play DVDs in bed, since it has a nice widescreen aspect.
. Dell 21inch, surprisingly good for the price.
. Spacenavigator, for Max! It sucks in Maya for some reason. I hope Mudbox and Silo will support it someday.
. Nulooq knob from Logitech. You can twist the knob on itself or slide it horizontally, this makes for 6 hotkeys. Plus it has four more clickable buttons on top, a touch button in the middle (no pressure required, great for panning) and a iPod-like touchwheel (for brush size!)
. Apple wireless keyboard, because remembering setting up the Wacom buttons and touchstrips suck. So I just put it on the 21UX - causes no damage thanks to the rubber thingies!
. Intuos2 for general use...
. Ergotron swivel arm for the 21UX - let me use it at crazy angles, even while sitting up, great for the back.
. And a kneeling chair! aka the infamous 80's Yoga chair! Still getting used to it.
Bitmap, Pidgin is great but the sucker does not accept alt-something codes for foreign accents! Like alt-0232 for '

not only have one of my portraits been recognized, but i was also complimented on my improvements.
on top of that, another portrait i've been workin on for the last 3 hours or so is turning out great too! 2 out of 2 people have recognized him without second thought, and it boosts my confidence so much =D all that improvement in a sudden boost of energy and will power =D
so yea, i'm feeling uber-happy
so thank you polycount!
I took the PCAT (pharmacy college admissions test) 4 weeks ago and it was the hardest test I have ever taken in my life. I got my results today, though and I scored in the 96th percentile! I have not been this excited in a long, long time!!!

maybe you could try Digsby, its what i use on my desktop. Pidgin is for the laptop.
