Yeah, I know personal threads a bit of mine field here. Babies, marriages, birthdays and so on. All in all we are just some geeks here on the internet.
I wanted to share some joy. If thats ok;
My lady gave me the ring today, a few days after my birthday. I'm over the moon. I'm sure theres a few of you out there, with similar joys. We're not tieing the knot or anything, just something that happens in Japan. A ring for the left ring finger. A rare and delightful thing, made all the better from someone you want to be with.
Ah well, nothing big, just happy.

No one's given me a ring recently. . . I just weeded my whole front yard, and am rather satisfied with my work, but that's about as close as it gets for me right now LOL
my good news is that i picked up more freelance work and its going well.
I am really starting to enjoy working from home

I've recently rekindled my love of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I haven't had one in 10-15 years but 2 weeks ago, it just sounded way too good.
I've had one every day since then.
Ring-based things aside, I'm feeling more musically inspired than ever, I'm weeding out bad people from my life and I've got a new laptop. Life is good.
mine is smaller having broke up with my 7 year partner recently i got chatted-up by someone i would have though way beyond my league yesterday, and have stayed in contact yay for small victories when you need them
My new job is awesome, and my g/f finally got a job here as well. All is well.
As for me... well, still no job doing video game art, but I've come close, and it's looking good I'll at least be getting a job at an EB games to hold me for now...
For me... Started a new job and have been WAY more relaxed at it than I was at my last place. Hadn't even realized how stressed I was getting, so there's my reason for being happy.
My joy would be that I finally ordered an electric guitar after wanting to learn how to play for years. It's the Line 6 Variax 600 along with their Spider III amp.
I can't wait to blast the paint off the walls:)
Not much for me to brag about, sucking with the ladies at the moment.

Also I got to go eat at the nicest restaurant of my life tonight and it was great! ( teatro zinzanni ) for those in the Seattle area

I was quite happy at the weekend, my Dad came up to stay for a couple of days
Seeing Dad made me realise that moving on from such a good job is the right decision. I just hope that I can find work back down South now...
Managed to come up with an idea for a retirement present for him as well, he was saying how he wished he'd never got rid of his Ford Cortina mk2 when he was younger so once I've got work, gonna start saving for one that needs work done on it and see if I can get it sorted out
wooo hooo lets go out and get to know hotties while drunk, taxi back might cost a bit but im up for it.
April, May and June turned out to be the 3 worst months of my life. I've had 1 day off in all that time - and I even had to work 16 hours on my birthday which was in May.
But as of today things are going to turn around. They can't get much worse.
My mother just closed a 250k property deal overseas befroe flying back to see me...couldn't be happier :]
My biggest joy right now is my son, I recently started battling for more time with him with my ex-fiance, lawyers, courts, and hefty bills all around. I got the status quo visitation, every other weekend and a two nights a week for dinner. But within the past two weeks my ex suddenly has been offering me more time with him, which I am overjoyed about. This friday I'll get him all day and overnight, it'll be awesome to spend time with him and family, if he's up late I'll definitely show him the big fireworks displays on the lake front.
Otherwise great times with friends, the weather is great, working contract has been quite well. Overall life ain't too shabby!
Yeah, I'm with ebagg. Nothing puts a bigger grin on my face than seeing this little chap beaming up at me when I come home from work.
That makes me a bit happier.
Finished my mid year exams and realised its only 6 months till I can start flying again (had an accident 1.5 years ago). Also, settlement should be coming through in a couple months, so I'll be in the $$$.
Good friends and a pretty easy life. Plus I get paid plenty for doing not much, how can you not be happy with that.

I agree with Spark and Daz, my little girl just turned 1 and her personality is really starting to show. She's a big ball of fun. I can't wait to get home every night, and her mom yea she's awesome too.
The weathers been amazing lately.
I've been working with cloth, hair/fur and refining our facial animation system at work, very satisfying to see other people using the junior tech artist tools I've made.

This week has actually been pretty sweet (well this week and last week) I finshed up some contract work and got my very first pay cheque doing what I love, and a lot more is coming.
Also... got my very first job interview for a studio
ALSO!!!! My buddy Razorb (Aaron Foster) just got hired so props to him as well
i bought an HDTV [with my own money, so i'm proud of myself]
i got back together with my gf [who i can say is now more mature than she was before, which is the only reason im letting 'it' happen]
life's good for me too =D
Shepeiro, did you not get that Memo at TT? The summer came and went and now its crunch time ;p
Added to that, my 3 month probation at TT Fusion is almost up and im about to move back into my own flat again, thankgod! I can actually see me staying here for forever! Its so damn cool to be making games!
Good stuff? I finally bought a PS3 and I like it more than I had expected to. I also replaced my crackling day-1 DS with a green one that seems to make people sick.
I just had a superb week at the Edinburgh Film Festival, and booked several shows for the Fringe Festival.
