Trying to finish the polycount Dominance War Poster. Here is just a w.i.p. It is really rough. I just put in casual shading while trying to get the character placements just right...

rollin, because i placed the russian's shadow layer ontop of the polycount poster. Like I said, the shading was done quickly=p

hey there didnt read the whole thread. adam showed me this asked
me to give him the polycount logo to give u... in addition i made
some tweaks to the poster that i suggest.

on all of them id recommend to resize all sponsor logos to give dwIII
a good room to work in. and also themselfs. that means every logo
has room to all directions. also they are all in a proper similiar size to
each other.

maybe u can also change dwIII color to match each "theme" in this
case polycount is green isnt it

Shifting the DW color really adds to the team theme, ok, will do. Nice touch:)

About the logo sizes, I like this too, but perhaps give a little more emphasis to the left and right logos? (Trophy and Polycount logo). Because these are a fundemental part of DW.

Please send me the high res polycount logo and text when done to fredh at dominancewar dot com. I'll swap them in. Thanks for helping me with this:)

there's a lot of black space at the bottom. I'd push down the dominance war logo to give the entries more room. Also get more spot lighting on the characters, some of them in the background look coated in green shadow *caugh* panda *caugh* It's cool to have greenish ambient light but just make sure all the characters pop out, the Russian poster did a good job of that. pretty much just light everyone like the guys in front.

2D and 3d are together on one poster. Since the koreans did it this way, I thought it was a good idea to follow suite. Plus, only two people on polycount submitted 2d art for the poster.

Here's an update:

About changing the logo to green, I changed my mind. I'd prefer if all the posters were unified by the DW logo.

Squirrel -> Better? I moved the logo down a tad and lit up the background some more.

forever -> I can wait a little longer. No worries:) Hope things get a little easier for you in the next few days.

Looks awesome Fred, though the only crit I have is that some of the characters are facing out away from the middle, such as mine, rollings, katz, and grittons on one side ,and the 4 others on the other side such as Vahl's. Curious if we just switched sides so that it looks like every character is more focused on the middle like they are going to fight the war instead of running away from it:)

Oh, is that what he said? I kind of like outwards because this way, it looks like they are spreading out for combat. If I faced them inword, it would look like they are following the middle small people into battle.

Lord Greggor and the Lion to the right of him are so freakin badass....I was pulling for them to get a much better ranking in the contest...those 2 are the best IMO
