a petition gets 1 million signatures
i first heard about the petition and thought, "yeah right.. like this petition would make him stop sucking". then moments later i see an article that explains this petition was being spearheaded by uwe boll's comments, claiming he will resign if 1 million people wanted him to. i still don't believe he would.. and this is just a publicity stunt.
for some reason i can't sign the petition, it feels lame. even if his movies are as bad as they are.. maybe i need to watch more of his movies to hate him like others do?

He's that moron at your workplace that does 'just enough' to not be fired. Pisses me off. The only way to get Uwe Boll to quit, is to NEVER pay to see his movies. Don't go the theater, don't rent or buy the DVD, don't watch it on TV. Even if it's just once, you're still pushing him foward. Stay away!
Also, you can all fuck off about him not caring. He likes what he does. Maybe he's not good at it, but screw trying to force him to stop with something like this. It's not like he's actually hurting anyone or anything. Especially given that his movies are not that much worse than a lot of the other shit around. And his newest (Postal) is actually a pretty good movie.
Haha, yah, gotta respect a guy who's primary response to critics disliking his movies is "oh yah? dont like my movies? WELL I'LL FIGHT YOU TO PROVE THEY DONT SUCK". Nevermind that he's a former boxer and only chose fat, out of shape critics to fight. I mean, it was funny to watch, but come on. If you've ever seen his movies or seen interviews, it's pretty obvious he's a hack who was in the right place at the right time.
And I do think he's hurting things: he's giving video game movies a really shitty reputation, thus making it less likely for future video game adaptations to be funded by major studios.
Anyway, didn't he already get disowned by all the major movie studios? Banished back to realm of indy and foreign films? The only thing that could possibly come of this is giving him more publicity....

Boll gets a hate on because he's toying with established fanboy IP's. It's just a bunch of fanboys who thought they could have done a better job on their favorite video game.
But the fact of the matter is there are a hundred movies coming out every day that suck more than his. Personally I'd rather stop the parody movies that seem to always come out. The Wayans brothers started a bad trend in those back in 2000.
