WIP Licker (not from resident evil :P )

I'm helping some guys with a mod,and they had some nice concept design.This was one of them.Here's my model with nmap at 5000 tris with 1 1024 diffuse spec and nmap.
I'm still working on the texture and trying to give it more details.I'd apprisciate some feedback on the overall look and how to improve it :P

PS,there is some bad deformation due to quick rigging,i havnt fixed anything in it yet...

really like this man.
The only thing i can thing of that might help on the texture front is add some variations to certain areas while still maintaining your original pallet. The ribs look especially weird being the same color as the feet, lighten it up, add some more bone shades like you've got on the head.

Yuck! This thing is probably creepier than the Resident Evil Licker. I think it's the structure in that this creature was probably human once, and still has the human features, but the lack of a jaw and skin. The skull and teeth is especially creepy. The sunken eyes also adds to that factor. The monster tells a story in and of itself, and I can only imagine what the story behind your mod is.

I'm pretty much a newbie critiquing on high poly models, seeing as I haven't done as such yet here at the Art Institute. What are the stats on this model? I like the blue-violet lighting, it looks really good with the red flesh.

What mapping do you have textured on here already? Is it just Diffuse mapped, or do you have other maps on the model?

This is looking damn good, theres not much i could say improve on the model, cept maybe the anatomy on the sixpack is kinda fluxored up it doesn't look natural at all.

Tho Still ... very awesome job on the texture and model

If it doesn't have any skin then the muscles need some textures. Muscles are really strandy (sic), stringy, whatever. But if you go that route you'd have to add cartilage too. That would really make the joints show up and stand out a bit.

Right now it just looks like it has red/pinkish skin.

That's fine, I think it's sick, but I think showing muscle detail would make him looked skinned.

The blood splatters look more like birthmarks than blood. They need more smearing and maybe dirt stuck to it to break it up.

Baddcog,you are right,i missed muscle tendines in there,so im getting this back to add them.
JesseMoody,should be muscles and skin,i'll add fallen skin where muscles are visible

I really like what you've got going here. I only have a few suggestions. On the dried skin you just added I would apply a higher bump map on it to bring it out more. Right now it just looks too smooth where the skin meets the musceley flesh parts. Also, you may want to add more segments to the tongue to help with the animation for it. Right now it looks too low poly to go with the rest of the model.

And how is that NOT the licker from Resident Evil? It's got the same body, the same exposed brain look, the same tounge, the same musculature, and the same name.

If you don't want it to be a licker from RE, then don't make it a licker from RE. Change the design, and the name.

And dude above: mark the post as NSFW when you post gore images from real people, or link to it instead of putting the image up directly.
