If someone went back in time and explained to people that no, they would not have flying cars, extra-solar space travel, or cool ray guns in the future, but instead w00t as a word, people with anuses as their picture, furry porn, and multiple page long arguements involving only flaming insults about the other poster's homosexuality, they would either think they were joking or be really, really sad.
