It feels a bit over-designed, this is a statement of taste, i think you should think about how the guy should be able to move in that thing. And ask yourself, will this armor protect the guy?

That's why I really like Ercin's stuff. They are just insanely intricate half of the time and its more visual than practical. Which works really well for characters like this.
