I just wanted to see what people have out there for collectibles. What you guys have on your desk, shelves, etc that you collect and like to look at / play with.
I myself have been a huge fan of the McFarlane Military and Sports figs, the Spawn line of toys, AVP, and anything Star Wars.
I would say my Star Wars collection is a bit excessive. I usually collect the smaller figures and vehicles but I have been getting more and more into the high end things. Props, replicas, Sideshow Collectibles 12" line, Master Replicas stuff.
I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

I'll post pics of my vinyl figures and garage kits as soon as I put up my 3rd desplay shelf. I've had lots of people wanting to see it.
i might get some StarWars Minis soon.
I've worked with guys who had whole walls covered with unopened collectibles. "Don't touch that box!"
It's cool though, toys are fun to have around.
I have plenty of toys at home and at my desk. Then way too many other toys in my parents attic just waiting to be slowly migrated home or to the office.
Oh and I'm also a comic book collector same with my soon to be wife.
OMG, you're a 40-yr old virgin!

hey thanks pal. yeah i prefer to keep them all in the packaging just because someday I can hand them down to my son and they will be worth a lot and a good thing to have. He'll probably just sell them cheaply to buy a new video game system or pc so my lifetime of collecting will be flushed down the drain.
I just hope the Salvation Army is freakin' happy.
The only collection I have left are my Pok

It's great for your kid, but don't hold out hoping the new toys will be worth a lot of money later. Remember, EVERYONE and the dog bought and is saving the new SW figures with the same thing in mind. The only reason the old ones are worth so much is because no one saved them.

Yeah they will never have the same nostalgia as the originals, but even without the money it's something to hold on to that has a story to it and means something to me and hopefully someday to him.
I gotta get a third after payday.
These are only the ones that I have on display. As you see, I have a whole lot more still in box due to no space. Plus, I have a crap load of ladies at my work office.
edit** Don't forget to check out the models section.
the models
He has some lady figs on the site.
Here are a few shots.
and Jesse.. daaaaamn, gotta get me some of those! O_O
Over my formative years I had collections of all manner of things ... Comics, book series, collectible figures and toys etc ... My mum binned every single one whenever she got the chance
I swear, one day I'm gonna go down to visit her and as soon as her backs turned, throw her teddy bear collection in a skip, shouting "that's for my 7 year pile of2000AD"
This is the woman who, when I went away to university, gave my box of about 500 spectrum games to a romanian orphan with no shoes
I have so many links in my browser, it's crazy. The main couple ones that I buy online from are:

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/default.aspx
http://www.hlj.com/index.html
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/anime/collectibles/index.html
Jesse:
Those look cool. I'll have to see them with paint first though. I like the 1st and 3rd one, but the 2nd one has a bad face.
I was considering investing in a milling machine to create some good base models so I can make my own kits and begin selling them eventually.
Milling machines have started to come down in price recently, so I'll have to weigh my options.
Now I buy figures that I like, usually mcfarlane, although the more recent figures arn't as interesting as some previous releases. One of my favorite figures is The Moribundi figure from Clive Barker's Tortured Souls 2.
Besides that I have fallen for Star Wars production artwork. I only started that expensive hobby a short while ago so my collection is yet small.
Here 2 original handdrawn Empire Strikes Back storyboard drawings that are hanging in my livingroom...
I think it will be fun to construct my own saber though like the prop they used in A New Hope and Empire.
Here are some shots of it.
This thing is almost 3 feet long by the way and weighs about 35 lbs.
and here is the link to the page with info on this huge piece.

I picked up the Target exclusive Optimus Prime from the movie.
I also was able to pick up 2 of the new battle packs with the clones on Barc Speeders from Star Wars...
Sucks you still have to wait so long.
Do you know how many they are going to produce?
They sold out in the first day for pre-orders so at what they cost and how quickly they sold. I wouldn't think they are going to have that many.

It's like so creepy but yet so true.
It was made for the following shot of Ripley when she loads up and goes out alone to find Newt.
That's probably drawn by James Cameron himself, I read somewhere he does all his own storyboards and often concept art too.

That would be cool!
I know of 1 other credited storyboard artist for Aliens and 2 uncredited ones. The storyboards that I have seen from Aliens show a couple of distinctive styles so it's impossible to say who drew what.
I've got the Aliens laserdisc (yeah, dinosaur format) at home with storyboards on it, I'll take a look, see if that one is in there.

Cool!
I grabbed this storyboard from the "making of" featurette, on the director's cut laserdisc.
I have Luke Skywalkers used socks, bids?

Been on the hunt lately for some special items that were used in the movies to build up my prop collection without getting ass raped on ebay for flash guns and shit.
I'll be posting pics soon. Should have some cool stuff to show.
As for my prop building I found some pieces today and placed an order. Once they come in the sculpting, sanding, and production will begin. I'll post an update when it starts.
I also ordered this today.
The Boba Fett animated statue is very cool indeed.
There is a very nice Han Solo animated one coming out later this year.
