So, who's playing?
I'm in freakin love with the game.

The visuals are insanely good, and the AI is tough as hell.

I bought mine via STEAM on Monday, and just unlocked it today. I'm actually having a hard time putting my time between this game, and learning Mudbox :P

That looks great! I love how these RTS units look better than some of the high res character models in some games out now.

Have you seen the character art for Mark of Chaos? It too is outstanding.

i played the demo, and with identical graphical setup options to my copy of Rome (demo doesn't let you tweak much) meaning it pretty much looks the same from a gameplay angle, i really couldn't work out why it ran like an absolute DOG

haven't seen any towns yet, i really hope they've improved the look of these from Rome. They were worse than off-putting before.

mmm, awesome. I love love loved Rome. As far as military battle eras go, I'm more of a medieval fan anyway, so I'm excited. I'll definitely be picking this up.

I'm playing the campaign on the hardest setting right now, as England. Routing those pesky Scottish from my island is proving most difficult

The French are also proving to be a pain. They're all friendly and shit, then they send in spies or try to assassinate my generals (and fail)

So I think tonight, I'll have to take my trebuchet's and knock on their city walls

Game looks great, just not much into RTS games personally, but I like how the series has been developing.

Those scots fight to the bitter end, I'm tellin' ya. My flaming ballistas cut them down pretty good though

I'm thinking about making some new units and stuff for the game. At least revisit some of the textures. Maybe bring in one of the meshes and mudbox it up some. The default normal maps are of the Nvidia-Photoshop-filter kind

oooOOOooOoo pretty. Looks like you can get some large battles going on, is there a limit on the number of units you can make?

No limit that I know of. At any given time I have about 8-12000 troops on the campaign map. Most I've had "so far" in my campaign is about 6000 troops in 1 fight (my side only). In Rome, you could get 10,000 troops on screen without major issues. So I'd hope this one can go a little higher.
