Ue3 available with RoboBlitz

RoboBlitz was released this week on steam and although its probably not everyones kind of game, it does come with the Unreal Engine 3 editor

If you want to get started learning the editor, this is a great bargain! I'll be downloading it tonight to play with at home

and see what different between their U3 and ours.

Maybe write some U3 tutorials

Oh it's just unreal ed 3. I was hoping this would have things like shaders for 3d apps.

Hmmm i'd love to play around with the character editor but acess to the level editor is cool also . At least a lot of modders will be familier with it and ready to pump out some good mod levels for Unreal 2007..etc etc

It comes with a "heavily modified version of the UE3 Editor" just so everyone knows. It isn't the full UE3 editor.

downloaded RoboBlitz and loaded the modified editor and everything that you can do in UE3 you can do in this editor
Only downside is that i cannot play a simple BSP level without the editor freezing. Not sure if anyone else gets this problem.

Its definately worth the 14.99 for the editor, if you want to get a jump start on learning

I think levels need to be saved as RBArena_whatever for it to play. I can't find the clipping tool lee3dee - is that hidden somewhere?

Ruz: Yes, you could do this since Swat4, but this version of the editor is more up to date.

Entity: Yes, same as previous versions UED, ASE is the main import format for meshes.

Ruz: Normal maps work well in the material editor, especially if you want to make a multi layered normal map.

Entity: As long as you export the models as ASE which is native in 3dsmax or using the ActorX plugin that is available on http://udn.epicgames.com

Its a working editor, You can even copy the BSP layout from RoboBlitz editor into another version of UE3. Which is good if you want to start laying out your UT2007 levels

I'm going to make some tutorials for the material editor , particle tool, and kismet this weekend for you all to get more familiar with UE3. Make the tutorials exclusive to polycount

Lee3dee - yeah i actually worked with unreal enogne for a year, so i know it pretty cool. just wanted to clarify that this indeed was the next gen version that came with this game.

well you can do without those TBH.
SHtools is cool, but you can still knock out good stuff with 3dsmax
