Wow Shotgun, you should have told her the handy tip about using lens flares...it makes EVERYTHING better. Your skin is good too, but you should use some lens flare and more dodge and burn m'kay
lol 10x
i was like.. watcha talk'n about bitch?
you wonna step outside maybe i'll show you my idea of some dodge'n'burn hmmm?
hehe.
nah, not in a life time. i'd rather do per's mom.
oh, btw per, you paint one purple shadow on this and i swear yo mama's gonna understand why i chose this post title.
k.. i didn't actually go do homework.
i somehow ended up spending some more time on him.
he's such a koochi.
i'm gonna have to figuer out how much light i'm gonna throw in the scene cuz this is gettig outta control!
I'm gonna try to get him finished this weekend. Little more work on the leather, then I gotta do a proper shadow for all the bits (I'm using drop shadow effect at the moment), then the wings, I should be able to do it. I wanna get this guy finished, then move on to Naruto.
liking everyone's stuff so far. ive been putting this one off, still have some more on the body.. then gotta tackle the wings and the wang. hope ya dig
Nice j_bradford, I'm digging the facial expression. I think some of his forms get lost because you use the same dark value all over, but overall it's really nice.
At work on the weekend, and i needed a break. Bunch of cool work on this thread so i figured i'd have a go at it too. Im not sure that i like where it's going, or if i'll have time to finish, but here is it.
Jashugan is another one of the mythic brotheren.. now that he is a polycounter and the mighty TK , mythic employees and ex employees officially own this board.. thats like 20 people strong it think.. could be more..have to ask poop for the official count i think he keep up with all that crap..
yea mops right ... i have to add and say there are even more
issues with the light and i wouldnt have done this overpaint
if i didnt notice that u have this kinda thing quiet often. the
way u shade is a quiet convincing look. colors u chose are
goody. maybe lass black in the shadows. but there are conflicts in the lighting. atleast as far as my feeling goes. i hope my OP can help u fix those out...
theres that highlight above the shadow which should be the other way around, beside the nose... u get what i mean?
the nose has some light on the tip of it but not "on top" which is an issue aswell. there are just some errors in the light situation. i understand its a wip but as i mentioned i found that u have this kind of thing as a habbit and i dont see u getting away from it ... just the fwe impressions that i get sometimes ... your overallwork is good in the end whatsoever
poop, thats what happens when a smurf falls in a pit of the same toxic waste the joker fell in mixed with ooze that the teenage mutant ninja turtles got dumped on them(hero turtles in the U.K. because their feeble minds cant comprehend the mystery of the ninja!)
Damn, poop! That's pretty cool. What does he charge for the night?
Interesting nose, Marine. Kinda looks like a character from the Deep Space 9 series for some reason.
Kristian, that's creeping me out a little. I like it. The way the eyes are, they almost seem like they are sewed shut. I know you probably won't keep them this way. I love the delicate shading work in the torso.
Looking good Ironbear. I'd try to make some isolated darker values in the extreme shadows, like under the arms, under the chin, and between the legs. Have a hierarchy of lighting information from dark to really dark. I'm liking your color choices for shading so far, just sharpen it up a little bit.
Hey fellows! Great texturing work once again. You people humble me. I'm not worthy!!
Just wanted to share the MAYA 7 rigg in case anyone wants to "pose" the character when finished with the texturing. If you are more familiar with 3dsmax and have access to Maya 7, you can always pose him in Maya 7, select the posed mesh and duplicate it(option box, select "world") so the duplicate is not part of the heirarchy, and export to .obj and bring it back in Max for render.
Also, don't forget to look over at the channel box when selecting a controller, you'll see some automated secondary controls for things like jaw slide and such. There is a "lag" in the secondary dynamics on his....thingy... when translating the mesh. This will go away when you hit the "play" button.(It's a glitch with Maya hair, should've used regular soft body dynamics on it but Maya hair is easy to set up on joints).
Dunno when I'm gonna get back to playing around with this fellow so here it is:
