so yeah I break up on friday from swordfish.
we have the christmas party to look forward to this friday. Free booze all day and nice meal at 'red peppers', a kind of restauranty steak house , next to an old canal.

Anyway, have you got a works party planned. will you make a complete tit of yourself?

Last year we inhaled helium baloons , which was fun

I avoid parties at work like the plague. I eat and drink nothing, I have to work with these poeple and I'd rather not complicate matters by getting arrested.

Volition already had its party this year. Twas the better of the 3 ive been to. We had some guys and gals from work do some DJing. So people actually got up and danced. Milluh.. however his name is spelled here (cuz he never posts) Justin, was dancin with his woman. :P I danced with 2 women. A nice group yeah. We had ours at a fitness club. Everything was emptied out for us. We had a nice formal night, with a buffet line. Awards came later. There had to have been 220+ people there will all the SO's that come along. I just went alone, so I'm an SOB.

i have had an amazing year, got my first full time gig in the industry, getting married in 4 months, our x-mas party was a hell of alot of fun too, casino night type thing, never played craps before, was fun but i still dont know how to play it, heh

This year was awesome for me. Found a really great company that I fit in with well. For our Christmas party they flew us and a guest all out to Vegas, where we rented out the bar of the Monte Carlo (I took Scoobydoofus, but he's lousy in bed). We had an all female Iron Maiden cover band, the Iron Maidens, that rocked the house. Free beer and well catered event = fun 4 all.

Great year for me, went to New Orleans, Las Vegas,Amsterdam, i live in Europe and i finally got my foot in the door.

Yes, had a great year. Finished our game, started a comic strip, ran a juggling tournament, traveled a lot, and spent a wonderful summer here in Colorado. It's had a few stumblings, and ending off really stressful as I'm trying to find a job. I'm happy overall, one of my best years.

it had its ups and downs for me..... first half was pretty bland and i got homesick during the wintermonths... during summer my parents came over and we went to see the f1 race in Montreal.....then I went on a few concerts..... met a nice girl and we got together...around the same time some of my friends came over from germany and stayed at my place and we went down to Maine for a week to visit other friends..... summer was REALLY eventful and fun and awesome.... then in october i had a breakup and its been pretty shit since then but getting better now... This week I'm flying to San Francisco to hang out with ross (PaK), cant wait

Spent the bulk of the year at Castaway as it spiraled into decline. Kind of depressing, but having just joined Three Rings, it's all looking rosey once again. Just got back from our Holiday bash where we roamed SF, having a ritzy dinner at a nice italian joint and then went pub hopping. They're shaping up to be a great bunch of workmates.

Also just got the ok to hop on the next big project when production starts in the nearer future. Bring on 06...

Heh - well, the fact that I'm not dead is probably this year's bright spot. On the other hand, if I *were* dead, I probably wouldn't care that I had a crap year. I can find the dark cloud in front of any silver lining!

graduated from college
living off of unemployment
no luck at all finding a job
friends threw a few months late suprise birthday party for me

i dunno.. this year went way too fast (as did any money i had)

i just wanna have a job again so i can stop worrying about getting money and start worrying about how i'm gonna spend it on my hobbies (my vette and my welding).

I was feeling sorry for you till you mentioned you had friends and a vette.
As for my year, I got dumped, wrecked my health so much I've aged noticeably for the first time in my life, and finaly truely learned to appreciate the phrase 'going nowhere fast'. Although I'm usually pessimistic about everything, I think this shit year has given me focus, so it was all worth it.

This year has been pretty swell. I think I've learned more and progressed further in my art than in any year previously. I've landed a great girl, a decent job, and things are pushing forward. I'm ready for '06.

This year has been great for me. My first year married to my amazing wife was great. I started my career as a freelance 3D artists and so I have finally started to accomplish my dreams. Right now I am on vacation at the family farm in eastern Washington looking out the window onto snow covered pastures, getting some much needed relaxation.

Ups and downs...started off extremely crappy, got crappier, got a bit better, by summer I met a sweet girl that I got along great with, got promoted to engineer, now things aren't so great with the girl and I just lost my job. The upside is I have a few months notice before I'm booted so I'll appreciate small favors. 1998 was a good year. Why can't it be 1998 every year?

Some minor health issues have been annoyances for me. Problems at work have also lead to insanely stressful periods.

Only good thing, is that my g/f of (almost) 3 years, has stuck it out with me

-designed my first art pipeline for the game I am working on
-finally visited NYC
-bought my first car

hey, this might even be the best year of my life *shrugs* On paper anyways...but 2001 was a hell of a lot more fun.
