Accessing the stack without leaving expert mode?

Hi guys

Does anyone how could I access modifiers or subobjects in the stack of a selected object without leaving the expert mode?
A quad menu would be great

There is a script in the blur scripts that allows you to navigate the stack based on hotkeys. I'm unsure of the link for blurscripts at the moment.

Yup, it works on modifiers, but not in subobjects.
What i would like to be able to do is to navigate in every way possible inside an object.

Is a toggle key for the command panel out of the question? Cos it's easily set up in the hotkeys menu. Good compromise IMO, at least the trackbar stays out of the way.

Yeah, that is how I´m doing it now. I have the V key for toggle on/off the command pannel, but i´d like to show it without all the innecesary stuff.

If all you want to do is navigate the object itself, once you are on the edit poly: 1 = verts 2 = edges 3 = open edges 4 = faces 5 = elements 6 = back out to edit poly.

These are the number keys on your keyboard.

Hmm, I have these keys set up, seem to work well:

A = Previous Modifier
D = Next Modifier
S = Show End Result Toggle

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 = Sub Object modes, 6 is base level.

These all work fine when in Expert Mode. It won't be any good if you actually need to change values in the modifiers though, just good for selecting different modifiers and editing the visual aspects of them.

Nah, it doesn't count, you didn't mention the Previous/Next modifier keys, or Show End Result

And you need those to navigate the stack!

I was trying to avoid the 123456 way because i have those keys for other commands, but well, it seems that i´ll have to remap my keyboard a bit :P

What i did not knew was that about the Previous and Next modifier. It seems to work pretty good, and well, despite it does not allow you to input values on the modifiers, it can do the job for modeling tasks

If you have two monitors and just want the extra space, you can tear the command panel off completely and put it over on your second monitor.

I second that. Having a 2nd monitor is like the leap from mouse to tablet. Once I switched, having to go back is actually painful.
