Hurricanes keep landing on towns i used to live in

Man seems like god is pissed off at the south with all the hurricanes he is sending, i felt real bad when hurricane katrina hit New Orleans the city i grew up in, and now an even bigger one is headed to Houston the city i just left. I havent been able to reach my parents,i tried calling home but all i got was "the number you are trying to reach is in an area affected by the hurricane,please check the number and try again"

I hope they are out of town when it hits,knowing my father they likely are.

What sucks is many of my friends live in Galveston which looks like will take most of the damage,frankly i wont be surprised if 90% of the town disappears since most of the houses are wooden and on a barrier island.

crossing my fingers all the people i know come out ok as well as their houses

well seeing how there's never been a recorded category 5 hurricane to hit the states, and, 5 is the highest rank so it could be stronger than any human being alive today has ever witnessed, how do you know?

Andrew was a 5. Camille was estimated to be a 5 when it hit the gulf coast in 1969.

i was on the gulf coast of fl when andrew hit, a good ways from impact, and it knocked our power out for nearly a week and did a lot of wind dammage.. cat5's are BAD

what was even stranger was that the Huricanes were fiercer and hit higher up the coast in the 1930's Looks like we may be going back to a 30's 40's cycles of hurricanes

we had a freaky one hit Japan recently. Left most of Japan alone but put a large portion of inhabited Hokkaido under water.

I live in New Braunfels (Between San Antonio and Austin), and we have TONS of people here from evacuating cities, and many of our gas stations are running out of gas, and I went to HEB today to find many of the shelves completely emptied out.
