It's a stopover on the way to Greece, where I am to meet my in-laws...hundreds of them. Apparently there's a whole village and a bunch of Athenians that want to give me a cuddle, see if I'm breeding yet, and feed me up.

My sister is a Londoner, so the plan is to stay with her, visit all our old haunts, catch up with friends, and of course meet some gay martists

Bronco: there's nothing in the Polycount T&Cs that says you have to be a pro. I'd love to meet any Polycounters that want to meet me. I know I've been scarce lately, what with surgery, house renovation, house sale, house purchase, moving, and so forth I haven't had ANY art time really. I still consider this to be home-base though, so I want to meet any Polyfamily in the area.

I plan to give Splash Damage advance warning, so I can try and organise a drop-in, but no, no interviews as yet Scott

Soul What town you from?...I live about the same distance from London by train,would be nice to think theres a fellow polycounter thats closer than London to me.

I live just under the chilternhills,between Wycombe and Aylesbury and about 20miles or so from Oxford.

I think Mark Laiman (K'Rakarth) is still somewhere near Oxford but I'm spending waay too much time studying at the mo and not nearly enough counting polys. Don't think I've even seen a polycounter since ECTS.. 2002?

If I'm around at the end of August I'd love to meet up tho will probably be working oop north.

That sounds like a plan, any ideas where to go after closing time for a reasonably priced drink with no admission fees, there is the troy club (if it is still going) behind the virgin mega store (if thats still going), but its very small... then smithfields market pubs but they are not open till about 5 or 6am?

Hmmm....been wondering why ive had recent urges to go there on day trips,can't be for the sun ive heard so much about then?

a) we gotta make sure the club we go to is 18+ and not 21+...ill only be 19 in August...though im sure I could become a 22 year old university student for the day in question

Is the Duke of Wellington still on Wardour Street in Soho? That was one place I worked. Also the Three Crowns on the other side of Picadilly and another one off Regent Street....can't remember the name of that one. It's been a while! I may have to dig up my A-Z and check the online Yellowpages

Thats cool... I didn't realise any other polycounters lived that near me... there's Soul Reaper in Basingstoke, Dr X and Sundance are in Oxford, Axel is Reading way, Frankie and Rolf are in London, but I never realised there was another 'counter in Bucks
