Is Reallusion Character Creator Worth the Cost?

I’m trying to improve my character creation workflow for indie game development and have been looking into Reallusion Character Creator. The tool looks powerful for creating animation-ready characters quickly, but the overall cost of the ecosystem seems higher than I expected once plugins and exports are included.

For artists or developers who have used it professionally, do you think the current Reallusion Character Creator cost is justified compared to building characters manually in Blender or using alternatives like DAZ or MetaHuman?

I’d especially love feedback from people working on smaller teams or solo projects.

not a small team as such (80 total inc 3 character artists ) but... I tested it out for a project where we needed to generate a buttload (>100) of generic humans - it seemed like a pretty decent system overall but we didn't end up going with it. The reason being that it wouldn't really have saved us any time or money over building the custom clothing we needed + head scans and wrap4d

Can't really comment on it vs Daz but these things are all the same really - if you're ok with not choosing exactly how the character is built like and aren't that bothered about what clothes are available it's a pretty cheap way of getting a bunch of decent quality characters made.

The demo was relatively generous in terms of time iirc.  you might as well just try it out
