Inserting model render into 2D background...

Hi all,
I have a model (Blender) that ultimately needs to be inserted into a  couple of backgrounds. The model is of an aircraft - I will need to insert into a sky background (in flight)  as well as sitting on a tarmac.
The insertion into the sky won't be that hard, I don't think, but trying to match the angle of the plane with the chosen background tarmac  image may be tricky as I've never done that before. Is this what is referred to as camera match? Is this the purpose of a program like fSpy? Or do you just have to eyeball it. I know I will have to deal with shadows and light direction.
Thanks for any advice.

Yeah you've got the gist of it.

A basic fairly straightforward process walkthrough:

    • Scene setup - F-spy to match the perspective of image by the aligning camera
    • Shadow Catcher - create a plane to capture shadows from your object
    • Integrating model - tools like shrinkwrap to precisely place model within scene/image plane
    • Lighting - HDRI or custom lights to enhance 'realism'
    • Shading - adjust your model's materials to match background
    • Polish - for seamless integration, compositing tools to combine rendered scene with the 2D image
    • Opacity - could also adjust to help blend seamlessly
