I'm creating this character in from this concept art and I require help in finishing it. I've worked from scratch on it for the past month or so and gotten it to this point so far.
I have made many characters, mostly head sculpts/busts but never to their completion or past the high poly phase into texture and material creation. But this time I am resolute in seeing this character to it's finish no matter what.
What could I do to improve the model at this point and make it easier to texture in substance painter?
Any help any critique would be massively appreciated.

    Coming along nicely!
I think your cloth is overall a bit too smooth/soft. For one thing in regards to the silhouette (compare the transition from the gloves ot the sleeve for example or  the overall silhouette of the arm) but also the general shapes or the impact of seams. You also seem to have changed some of the seam placement to a more standard clothing one, was that intentional?
The elements that sit on the shoulders look like they are part of the base mesh in your model.

Very important points about the overall silhouette and the softness of the cloth. I will make changes accordingly. Regarding the seams, the concept is a bit ambiguous as they're not symmetric looking so I just went with what felt right. I agree with your last point, yes, they don't stand out enough to look separate.
Thank you so much for pointing these out. I can't tell you how grateful I am to be helped by a fresh set of eyes.
