  Hi! While I don't use Maya, you can probably animate the UV offset in the material to achieve that panning effect. When searching for "Maya animate UV offset", this old thread popped up Maya UV texture scrolling.

  i was able to animate the UVs when i Plane Map the asset unfortunately when I export it the animation doesn't stick. Hope to find solution regarding this.

  Hi! Best give describe your specific goal for pointers. Based on the wording in the initial post, I assumed you were looking to do this effect in Maya. In what software do you want to implement this ultimately then/ where are you exporting to?
