I will be using this Sketchbook to record my progress in 3d character art.
Any critiques are welcome.

Just started learning Zbrush and sculpting in general.
Made a huge mistake by not using a pose with complete references. As a result, there was a lot of guess work and it's still lacking many details. I decided there's no point dwelling on this and stopped it here.
Anyway, still learned a lot and had a ton of fun making this.

First time making a realistic weapon. Trying to recreate a piece of concept.
Learned a lot about the import/export workflow between Zbrush and blender, uv and baking. This process is real tricky, including scaling issues, sharp edges issues blablabla.

Starting a new study project - Ira Wendagoth, Critical Role fan art.
Main goal is to practice more body sculpting and explore garment sculpting & posing.
Progress today: 1. Blockouted basic forms, 2. Tested with pose.

Final render.
Overall, it could definitely use more detail. But I am also a bit worn by this project at this point. Achieved main goals of the project. May be I will revisit it in the future. Pretty happy with the current results anyway.

Posed character. Found out in test renders that I went too low poly count at certain places. Gotta go back and fix it. Lesson learned :'(

Next I will learn to do hair and skin texturing on the same model to make a second version without the hood.

You seem to have become really skilled in such a short period of time it's actually depressing to compare to.

I saw you mentioned this one was referenced from bodies in motion; which motion was it? Most of them that I've seen have poses a lot more dynamic and asymmetric than this torso.

Indeed, I also feel like a lot of them are not exactly optimal for a still anatomy practice like this. This one is pretty good though, since it's just one single pose.
Don't get discouraged! It also took me some time to get certain things right. For me, it's more about getting better with every single stroke I've 'failed'.
