Hi all,
I just recently hopped into Zbrush and would appreciate any critique on this dude right here with the really close together eyebrows lol. I'm also curious if there's any resources you guys would recommend for researching anatomy for sculpting.
All input is appreciated, thanks C :

Check Hogarth book about heads or Loomis or Faraut
I'm always a fan of starting with the planes of the face and then building in detail on top of that. I think as well, you've gone too high poly before you had all the basic structures blocked in. Always start low resolution and only up-res when you absolutely have to.
I like Anatomy for 3D Artists from 3D Total, it's a great book for when you're starting out :D
This plus the Hogarth suggestion is great advice!
Also having an app like Daz 3d on a monitor next to your work monitor is super handy as you can rotate around your reference.
Ahhhh thanks for the feedback and suggestions guys. And I've never heard of Daz 3D before THIS IS AMAZING. I also checked out the figure and anatomy books and they look great! I'm starting at a game art school soon and I've heard their library has great resources so hopefully they'll have the published books!
Some more practice, I accidentally had dynamesh set too high for then neck which bumped up the polycount unnecessarily. There's a lot I don't like about this sculpt but I read into Hogarth's "Drawing the Human head" so at least I learned more about the structure of the head!
Is it recommended to sculpt in dynamic perspective? I sculpted 80% of the session in dynamic perspective.
Hi! You could load in some reference mesh to compare against. Compare screenshots to image references and drawing over it might also help to see things and is very quick.
Thanks for the advice Fabi, I worked on a quick basic blockout today and used some drawing references, they definitely helped me out. Still so much to learn and practice
Sculpted Turtwig for fun, still practicing the different brushes, how to use masking, etc.
