3DCoat - End key not working to assign shortcuts

Hi, I am new to 3dCoat and am trying to reassign a brush using spacebar's menu, from within this menu it says you can assign a hotkey by pressing "END" (simple enough) to which I have tried multiple times and it just does nothing. Anyone know why this just isn't working? thanks
