Photoshop Startup Error

Hi guys, normally when I start up photoshop my layers panel is visible.. but for the past few months, on startup, it is not visible and I have to click the “layers” tab at the very bottom to view my layers. This has become an extra step that ever so slightly slows down my process for work because every time I open photoshop I have to go through the process of making my layers visible again, the issue starts to add up over time. Do you guys have any idea why this is happening? I have had no luck figuring it out. Thanks!
