Marmoset 4 Subsurface/Volumetric Scattering Question

Mostly new with Volumetric/Subsurface Scattering within Marmoset, so apologies if this question is a basic one.

I am encountering an issue in which my texture turns black when I attempt to activate Volumentric and subsurface scattering.

After a while of trial and error, anyone have any advice on this issue?

I had that issue too and noticed when I checked the "Invert" Box under Masking in the volumetric settings, it went away. However, so did the SSS effect. I was never able to fix this.. so I had to re-do the whole thing and start from beginning (import the model again and set up materials from scratch).
