A bug in 3ds max viewport

I have this weird box appearing on top of the viewport area in 3ds max, it is only specific to this project and doesn't appear on projects I did previously. what is the problem?

I have no idea why that is happening. It looks like the top left viewport quad. Does it continue if you toggle Alt+W (Maximize Viewport)?
Try setting Views | Viewport Configuration | Layouts to 1 viewport.

Maximizing viewport didn't solve the problem, neither did setting layouts to 1

This is a redraw problem. Does it persist if you restart 3ds Max?

Restart. Merge all. Should fix it.

Still no change, anyways thank you for the reply, I think it's just a bug in 3ds max, most probably appeared when fiddling with the layout.

Try quitting Max, deleting your 3dsmax.ini, and restarting Max.
