Help! Improving 2D Game Art

Hi Everyone, I've created a pretty fun mobile game. Which is actually the first game I have ever created. Only problem is, I'm not too skilled with creating the art for the game which I think is really letting it down.

The screen shots are a recent big improvement on how it looked before. Does anyone think they would give the game a chance based on how the the screen shots look now? If not, advice on how to improve the look would be greatly appeciated.
