Hello everyone and thank you for being here. I'm creating this thread for myself to motivate me to work and study so that I can become a character concept artist for film and video games in the future. Currently I am doing motion graphics animation, but I want to transition into painting and designing. All critiques are welcome and very much appreciated. Thank you!

This is a WIP of a fisher boy character design. I was thinking this person is well off and likes to spend his time fishing at the river.

Think it's time to move on from this piece. I'm not too happy with it, but I was able to apply some painting techniques I learned and experiment with converting a BW painting to color.

Value and color studies from a still life reference. For the Color study, I tried to not use the color picker but I did end up using it in some areas to see how accurate I got my colors.
