Hello, i am aspiring 3D artist who wants to create real time characters.
I've been inspired to remake one of my favorite heroes from the past, the (missing from the game) Female Assassin from Half Life 2.
Before moving to sculpting i've made outline where design generally should go.

If you are doing this for self promotion then a full face mask isnt really a good idea. If you want this for your portfolio then you would have to show some shots without the mask. A good compromise is a model with an open face setup.

Hello, i believe Combine don't have much left in terms of face, think of Darth Vader.

I've actually made studies on how the disassembled helmet should look like

I could definitely made unmasked version where she looks like normal human but that won't be accurate to the game.
I think unmasked character would go for my next project.

Update. Finished high poly helmet.
Tried to maintain classic aesthetic while taking cues from HL Alyx and MGSV. I use Source Film Maker to browse models lol.
I love this low-tech, Soviet inspired Combine design in Alyx.
