Calculating Surface Area via Maya

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to help a friend with a project of his, and we thought it might be a cool idea to try and figure out if it's possible to calculate Surface Area via Maya.
We were trying to use the plugin 'measure.bundle' but it doesn't seem to be in our Maya Plugin menu's; so it doesn't seem to be an option.
Is there any other tools or plugins that can be used in order to calculate Surface Areas in Maya?
