Substance painter cannot import Maya interactive groom Polygons, not sure why. If anyone can get it to work can you please tell me? Link to asset is below.

What error does painter give you in it's log on import?

It's usually pretty descriptive

Does Substance painter have a problem with importing Interactive groom polygons from Maya? Because I made another hair asset with fewer polygons and it still wont load it.

I agree that's fucking useless.

I've brought xgen groom meshes exported via alembic into designer with no issues so fundamentally it should work.
How are you getting them out of maya? Do they have UVs?

Yes they have UVs and I am using export selection in Maya. I have the link to the file in this forum.

I am also able to load the asset into Marmoset toolbag no problem and texture it, Substance designer is the only one not loading the file....

The bad news is that it loads fine for me on both painter 2019.2.2 and designer 2019.3.0

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the mesh at all.

Ok, I think I figured it out. I loaded it in Blender and deleted some stuff that wasn't showing in Maya.
