[WIP][UE4]Deadpools House / living room Environment

Hi everyone, for my next personal project I will be re-creating this small scene, its a shot from the deadpool game by highmoon studios, will be great to get any feedback or critique along the way.

I have started to block out and in the meantime created the highpoly for the beer bottles

small drawer prop for the background, I think I will be softening the edges a bit more when it comes to baking the normals, any c&c is welcome thanks

Hey man!

The props are a good start. I would say you make the modular elements of the room first (the walls, the windows etc.) Once you've done that, start with the bigger elements (mainly the sofa and the chair).

I would also various screenshots of the main room in game and put them together into a moodboard so you've got a great idea of what the room looks like.

But the progress is a good start, but you need to make sure your blockout is on there so that you know what you need to make.

Hi thanks for the feedback, interesting that you mentioned modularity, I actually hadnt considered it for this scene as its a smaller scene but it might be worth experimenting with that. The moodboard is a good call its something I dont do enough of, currenly doing the blockout in ue4, more screenshots to come

First rough blockout in ue4, I will be increasing the overall size of the room, at the moment its 12 feet by 18, but I feel I will need a little more space to play with so I will be increasing it to 14 by 20.

Gathering more refs from the game there is a tv within a shelfing unit so I will be adding this against the wall that the main chair is facing, so will be adding that in the next phase of the blockout then experimenting with the basic lighting setup. Any c&c is very welcome

Created my modular pieces to create the room all the walls windows etc created from a single trim sheet, I will post more on these when I have them textured, created the tileable wood floor mat and started blocking in the lighting

Managed to get back to work on this after a while. Still got one or two things I want to add or adjust.

Adjusted the lighting and contrast a little more now need to add the katanas and I will probably wrap up this little project.

The progress looks great. However, if I can say something about it is that I would try to apply a night lighting approach, I mean, just the moon light entering through the windows, and the artifical lights of the lamps inside the room.

Keep it going! It's a very interesting project dude.

Will definately experiment with the night lighting, so far I have experimented with a bluer cooler hue to represent some of that light like in the reference. Will have to experiment a bit also with te skydome, Thank yoiu for the feedback much appreciated
