Hello everyone,

Here is a piece I've been working on for a while. Sculpted some 3D assets and painted on top.
You can check it out full resolution, plus a look at the destroyed architecture 3D assets, on ArtStation: http://www.artstation.com/artwork/9eRb3Q

Edit 1: I was recently interviewed by the folks at 80lv about the process for this image. Check it out! https://80.lv/articles/mixing-2d-and-3d-in-concept-art-007gai/ 2

Let me know what you think. Thank you!

    Hey man, nice work!
You're a better artist than I am, so take my advice with a grain of salt:
When I look at the image I feel pulled in two opposite directions. It feels like most of the composition is leading me to that huge structure in the background, but at the same time you're trying to make me look at the broken off piece on the right, by putting the light there, and it feels somewhat forced. The non-lit area also feels kind of flat and dead, I feel there should be more happening there. I did an overpaint to try and address those issues, maybe it will be of some use to you, if not, I still had fun doing it :P
