Hum 3d Gun Challenge Thread - Railgun Sniper Dude

I need to make a wip thread for this challenge, starting it late with only 7 days left basically, here is what I got done today. I started with a rough drawing to get started, the pictures are in no particular order Making a lightweight railgun sniper. Still super rough, about 3.5 hours work so far, will post more tomorrow, I am recording the whole process too. Still a lot I don't like in this design and need to figure out, but it's still early.

I counted, 6.5 hours in, going to make a timelapse of the modeling and design process, so trying to get moving. Here is the progress and some of how i'm thinking. Changed the stock design to feel more like a sniper rifle archetype. Anyways. hope ppl link, want to finish this in the next 2 days if possible, since there is only like 5 left for the hum 3d challenge, started really late lol.

Thanks guys, didn't finish today liked I planned, will tomorrow for sure! Here it is, I have 4.25 days left to render and finish the model for the comp.

I finished up the model today, time to start renders, probably around 16ish hours for the whole mode and design, I planned all the animations and 3 attachments, will post wips as I go on renders.

Only have one day left, started on the render, and did the regular studio renders I usually do. I only have a few more hours to finish this guy up, going to keep it simple, should only take a few hours. Want to make it in a future museum with glow under it.

Some progress of the renders. I was trying to render the scene in Redshift, but instead it was too slow on my Titan X so I switched to Keyshot. Just starting the process with keyshot.

So I finished this render, but I am going to possibly do a render with glass in front of the gun. We'll see, it's late and I want to sleep.

So, I was trying to not sleep, my mind started melting and my fingers started to stop working, so I set up a new render with glass over the gun in the night and comped it over the last render. Going to post my submission now. Honestly not happy with the render, was too exhausted to make it as good as I'd like.
