Need help creating this shape

Hi everyone!

I was wondering how you properly model Iron Giants' mask so it fits along the curves of his face.. Thanks in advance

subdivide, grab faces around the eyes, circularize component, grab the edges where the brows should be, move tool + ctrl + middle mouse drag to expand along normals. Sculpting tools to clean up.

Make use of soft-select as needed.

you mean the jaw?

if so, why not begin with what you've already built. Select the faces from the lower head, duplicate them, and that lets you begin from that same curvature you alreayd built

things to look into :

duplicate faces

extrude faces

separate and combine objects

you can also duplicate the whole head and just delete what you don't need. Sometimes thats easier than duplicating faces.

Always easier to get your shape first before you extrude to give thickness.

Trying to make this upper piece, which i did from extracting faces along the head. How can i get in control of the thickness and depth fromt his piece of the head?
