Displacement map in maya

Hello everyone guys, im new on Maya, and im tryng to texturing this Emily from the tutorial of Arvid schneider, but i have a little issue.. i don't understand why, when i apply the displacement map, it doesnt appear in the Arnold render.. In what am i losing? maybe i just did not activated something in the render setting? Thanks in advice..

yes you need to turn on subD in the Arnold tab of the object...

He means on the shape node of the object.

Select the mesh, in the attribute editor select the shape node of the head. In the accordion tabs open up the arnold tab and enable displacement inside of there.

Thanks, in displacement map in attribute editor, " feature Displacement " ( was already active ), and about the setting in Arnold, i went in display setting on the top of maya near the hypershad, and then arnold, and even activate there... i tried to ALT 3 for a preview.. but still nothing. I dont understnad what's going on

select the object open the attribute editor... there is an Arnold menue in the shape node... set the subd to catmulclark.... set the suvd to 4..
