Hey Guys,
A little while ago I started working on a dwarf character to use as a test model to improve my character art workflow. Any questions I come across or have noted will be applied to this character. If I get extra time want to make him into 3 separate heroes using the same base.
The heroes will be an Ranger (Archer), Sentinel (Heavy warrior), and Assassin.

Base body: Textures still WIP

Update for today is that the piece is now in Marm 3 and MAN IS THAT PROGRAM DOPE!! I worked on the hair using a Xgen hair as a base and game rezing it from there.
Get some colour variance in there as well? Flyaways?
@Elithenia i have a few but I'm currently working on another pass. I will say i need to work on making the current once thicker so they show up more lol
Taking a break from hair for a bit to work on the armor. Spending alot of time getting a good blockout for the major shapes and proportions. Once this is done ill have a good jumping off point for mid level details and some bigger accessories.
I'm going to start experimenting with a hood variations next. Cant have an archer without a dope hood.

I really like where the character is at so far. Next up is a nice platform to stand on for presentation and to find a good glam pose.
I wanted to point this out before you called it fin as its a minor thing but it helps with readability. I think you have some contrast and brightness issues which to be honest you can probably fix through post fx but its just something to keep an eye on. I did ultimately minor levels, hue and brightness adjustments in PS, but take it with a grain of salt as always and decided what works best for what you want in the end.
Thanks Charles . The lighting/ color fixes look pretty good. Ill play with the lighting and post processing to see if I can bring out the colors more. He does read a too dark and earthy in some areas.
Looking to call this guy done for now with these final renders. Learned quite a bit doing this guy and I really want to carry that into my next project. Thank you all for the feedback on FB, here on PC and in the hangouts!
