Hi my name is Arun Nagar, i am a freelance character artist.
Recently i was thinking to do some study on head specially for NEXT-GEN GAMES.

I have been working on a fanart of glenn from walking dead since a while now, i haven't posted update on it, so here it is...
Its already 90% done, but comment and crits are most welcome!
Whats left in glenn is hair alpha

Also i am doing some more head study, here it is, right now only 2 hours of work on it, i will be posting more and more update on to share my knowledge about head and wish get some crits as well to improve my art....

He definitely look like CR7

I saw on google right now that there is problem finding his reference photos without any expressions on his face. Be sure to double check this, so the opened mouth and angry forehead on his side reference will not affect your end result. Sometimes those expressions affect nose very much as well, so double check tip and nostrils on other photos.

looks very close to him ! are you using perspective in Zbrush ? i know Zbrush perspective is also finicky, better to check him on a 3d package like max or maya just in case ! he just needs some polishing, i would suggest searching for pics where he has extreme lightning to study his facial features even further !

Keep at it , i like to see where this is going !

Nice stuff man, only thing that sticks out to me with the Glenn sculpt is that you've got the heads of his clavicles too close together, they should sit a about 2 fingers width apart, they are just not reading right at the mo. Just a minor thing but awesome sculpt, Ronaldo is also coming along well

@Konras -> Thanks man! Yeah its really hard for this guy to find a face without expression, but i have couple of pic to guess it, so i am just trying to find a common ground where he can look like as ronaldo, but lets see how progress goes. Thanks again!

@Joao -> Thanks man, now days i use perspective while sculpting it, I have heard this too that Zbrush perspective is not 100% right, but somewhere we have to use it and rest of the work will be based on guessing game. And i have 100s of reference of Ronaldo, and using them as well to study more and more of this guy's head. Thanks again!

@Jon -> Thanks man! and i never looked at clavical that way of glenn, Glenn is still under progress, so i will tweak that in low poly, whenever i will have an update on it! Thanks again and i will keep in mind about clavical on my further sculpts as well.:)

right now 24 hours of work, still i need to add mouth parts and facial hairs... more updates are coming...

Super awesome. Hair looks really natural. Whenever I use fibers groom brushes screw everything and make things flat. Here you have nice volume and gradation, exactly like stylist would make it. Render is also really nice! For me fibers always get those weird highlights in random places when I render. I am so looking for more work from you!

Thanks Konras! I think for the hair we just need to be more relax and do small things one by one, if we jump on large chunks we just messed up.:)

Hi Here is new work that i have started, its called "Tree Dragon".
Original concept was done Filip Burburan.

In the Tree Dragon Sculpt i want to do most details manually, first its fun to do and second when we do most of the time it comes as better looking piece.
From Start to finish, i mostly used Standard Brush, Clay Tube, Move, Dem_standard, Inflate, nothing fency.
and at blocking phase alot of use of SnakeHook and Dynamesh.
Also i have recorded it when i was doing it, so here is the first part of it, i will share more parts as i have them prepared.

Hi here i am starting with the textures. I am not much used to do creature texture, so it will go little slow and expecting mistakes.
My Plan is to first do the base texture in Zbrush via polypaint, later i will use PS and SPainter fior further details.
Here are Zbrush screenshots, both with Flat Material and shaded one.

WIP Wong from Doctor Strange
I thought Wong's head is going to be challenging and interesting to sculpt, due to fat on the face and and all those acne marks, so here is first update on it. Right now i am at proportion and Volume blocking stage, so your suggestion are most welcome on it...Thanks!
