  Volumetric Rays. Generally they can be enabled through volumetric fog shadowing, but most engines also include a similar effect when looking towards the sun only.

  Generally they're called godrays among us artists, but that's a casual term. I've seen engines (well, UE3/4) refer to them as Light Shafts.
