I like the metal so far, I think making nice, pure white speculars on them would add a lot, just adding a small dash of white amongst all the rivets for example will give the lighting directionality which will help define the rest of the airship
PURPLEKAMI thanks man:) Yeah I really have to get a better understanding of lighting and colors do you have any example of lighting on materials?
Here's a good example of lighting on both metal and cloth, notice how much the hues and values change? This will allow you do define the materials and distinguish them between each other.

You've got a very good base, you're at the polish step now that will really bring the magic to your zeppelin!
