Working on portfolio bust

Working on a new portfolio piece, id love to get any C&C
Just a very rough shape for the hair. i have a few ideas of how I am going to tackle it.
The clothing is still rough and needs some refinement.
I am mainly looking for any comments on the face. i feel like it is close but not there yet. Anything is more than welcome :]

Some Progress! Hair is just a place holder to help me understand how to make the hair cards.
Its my first time trying to texture a face so any comments and critiques are more than welcome :]

Looks good so far. The only thing i can think of is that the concept looks a bit sharper features and higher cheekbones.

Thanks! I had her with sharper features before but she was looking too masculine. I can look at it again though because all the micro details are on a separate layer :]

Posting an update, its been awhile.
Really tried to sharpen up the features with it still looking feminine, thanks for the suggestion erroldynamic
Trying to make a photo realistic version of the concept above and I have no idea what I am doing. So any comments and critiques are more than welcome!

Things still in a rough state
-eyebrows are just place holders, to help me place the hair cards.
-ears are very rough right now
-still need to make a subsurface texture
-need to add the makeup, but I felt it was important to get a solid base skin texture first. If thats incorrect thinking i'd love to hear it!

-Made some more updates to the proportions, they feel off especially on the side profile.
-refined some weird areas and added the make up bits.
- would love any suggestions on the makeup, feels to clowny. I am trying to have the specular carry the eye makeup because the concept seems like old chunky makeup. Any thoughts on this would be extremely helpful.

It's looking good but I still see some areas that could use touch ups. The eyes for example could use another pass, look at how eyes are shaped up and the forms that make them up, right now they're very flat and as such when looking at a 3/4 view it becomes very apparent. I don't know if it's just me but the lips also appear rather flat.
Very cool stuff though!

Thanks for the feed back Purplekami definitely agree with you. As Im looking at it I can't tell if the lips and eyes are too flat or if there is too much stuff around them.

Last update before the final, hopefully...
Was working on making haircards using xgen in Maya and the result was alright.
I am going to be pursuing a different method, so no hair for now.
Scarf and Suit textures are mostly place holder.
Any comments, questions or critiques are extremely welcome as this is my first attempt at a realistic bust.

The attachment point here for the ears seems off. There should be more vertical give before the ear connects to the head. I'd double check your references.

You're definitely correct, didn't give myself enough polygons for the ear. Im going to be covering them with hair but if you think I should I should fix it, I can look into it :]

Ive been working on the hair for a bit and finally have it in an area where I want to show it and maybe get some feed back :]
Went through 2 different tests as this was my first time trying realistic lowpoly hair.

First text using Xgen in Maya.
Overall a really cool method that allows you to populate hair cards really quickly. I found it difficult to control for the longer hair style I was going for, but for short hair it I can see this method saving you tons of time.

I need to add more hair cards to make it thicker, but I feel like this is a pretty solid result. If anyone has any comments, critiques or suggestion I would be extremely happy to hear them. Feels like I have been taking shots in the dark to get to this point so any help is welcome :]

I feel like the hair and head are in a good place, but I still need to do some tweaking on the clothes.
