This contest look fun so I'm in.
I am going to do a baby beast who's beastly parents were killed off by the nearby town's hero. He sneaks into the town at night and steals stuffed animals and food. He narrowly escapes death every time a villager finds him. He feels overwhelmingly alone.

And I just looked at Bobby Chiu's work. Adorable.
I started to think about how those little legs would hold up in posing later on and I decided to give him more definition. I was looking at kangaroo and rabbits but I still tried to keep it as squished as possible. I also wanted to play the wrinkles that babies have and I probably went too far but I don't regret it because it was fun
Back with a slight update. Added some claws, some bean-toes, some nips, and a gross belly button. I'm starting to think about where I want to keep hair short and where I will sculpt in some clumps.
