This contest look fun so I'm in.

I am going to do a baby beast who's beastly parents were killed off by the nearby town's hero. He sneaks into the town at night and steals stuffed animals and food. He narrowly escapes death every time a villager finds him. He feels overwhelmingly alone.

Thanks for commenting Lotet! I was so flustered trying to get imaging to work in my post I forgot to put who did the concept. I am using it as inspiration and did not mean to portray it as my own work. 

And I just looked at Bobby Chiu's work. Adorable.

I finally had some time to start this project. I started playing around with deviating the proportions away from the concept and pushing it further into the chibi realm. I'm open to opinions on that. I also thought it would be fun to model the face like a snaggle tooth exotic shorthair cat.

Back with a quick update. 

I started to think about how those little legs would hold up in posing later on and I decided to give him more definition. I was looking at kangaroo and rabbits but I still tried to keep it as squished as possible. I also wanted to play the wrinkles that babies have and I probably went too far but I don't regret it because it was fun I'm also throwing in an obligatory butt shot.

Back with a slight update. Added some claws, some bean-toes, some nips, and a gross belly button. I'm starting to think about where I want to keep hair short and where I will sculpt in some clumps.
