Need Help modelling inside reciver

Hi everyone i am making this gun ,i was going pretty good but stuck at Safety handle part , when we fire this gun
safety handle comes back and forth and there is a cylinder inside which comes along it , my question is should i model inside the receiver ? As if cylinder comes back it shouldn't be transparent hollow inside which will look bad.
