Well, I've started a helm. We'll see how good it looks by the end of the contest.

I've just about finished the low-poly model, seen here next to the standard volt helmet. I've gone for a sort of sleek, faceless, bullet/beetle head thing. I'm not really sure, but other than the nose in the front it has a very similar silhouette to the original helm, and it looks tenno.

It'll be a lot better once I've added textures, but for now, this is what I've got.

Update: I've added some basic textures. I've still got a long way to go, but it's looking better.

I haven't finished any of the textures yet, but I've got some basic grime/rust, emission maps, and coloring, as well as some patterns in the front.

Nice start. It might be worth exploring pulling some of those shapes on the face plate out - like the star bloom at the top- to break up the silhouette a bit

Yeah, I originally intended the front to be blank, but then went a bit overboard once I started sticking lines on it.

Also, little tidbit of info. "Vronti" is Greek for "thunder" (if Google is to be trusted

).
