CGSociety has a great 2 page article discussing Splash Damage's latest effort, Brink. They talk a lot about their art and design choices they made when working on the game as told through concept art samples. Lots of pretty pictures and some great thoughts to absorb.

Hah that garbage technique is a beautiful way to achieve that texture. I like how they really thought about colour too. I'm definitely interested again. (I lost interest because trailers almost made it seem like TF2 with objectives and I want a more story driven, 4 player co-op adventure. Basically Half Life co-op)
