Strange viewport wireframe glitch in Maya

So I've upgraded from Maya 2014 to 2016, and I notice that in this version whenever I start having more geo in my scene, strange artifacts appear when I have the wireframe on shaded display on. Here's an example, where I turn the wireframe on and these floating lines appear all over the place and appear and disappear as I rotate the camera around.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

I may not be of any help because i don't own Maya 2016, but the first thing i would do is update my videocard drivers to optimum. Next thing would be to resave the file your working on in Maya 2016 and reload it.

The last image looks like bad geo from a bad import, check if you can select this wad on a vertex level and move it across (could be selectable or not).

Sometimes the easiest solutions are the right ones. As you said Peanut, it was a drivers issue. Thanks for the suggestion!
