IN PROGRESS: Dynamask problem.

Hi. On my latest texture i ran into an issue with dynamask. The problem is that most masks has this inexplicable pattern. I have tried two different sets of bakes but it gives the same result. Disabling curvature removes it, but sharp edges does not have this problem for some reason.

Did you upload a custom curvature map into DDO? If you did, turn off Huge, Large, Big, and possibly Medium in the curvature settings. DDO currently blows out curvature maps making them largely unusable without disabling those options. I would imagine the next update will fix it.

Also, would you mind showing your input normal and curvature?

Try removing the curvature map and allow DDO to create its own curvature from your normals. I can almost guarantee it will function better than giving it a curvature map right now.

As other suggested let DDO create its own curvature, unless you really need to input your own (which you may need if you need details to be picked up that are included in the base model but not the HD/maps you're using in Suite).

In case you really need to use your own map because the maps you're feeding are missing some info, just zero the Large/Huge etc. values and stick with the sharpen etc. ones.

That's how I'm working around this problem/feature now.

Also, it almost looks like the contrast has been set way up. May that be the case?

It's the base bake, no adjustments to it. I haven't had this problem since i had this and i can't replicate it either. Adjusting down large details and so on didn't help. I didn't try letting DDO make it's own cavity which might have fixed it but i don't like the idea of inaccuracy.
